Barcodescanner Zebra LI4278 bluetooth connection iPad/ iPhone

This manual shows how to connect the Zebra LI4278 bluetooth barcodescanner to an iPad or iPhone.
 

TIP

Press the scan button on the barcodescanner 2 times to show or hide the keyboard on the iOS device.


 Step 1: Set the scanner to Bluetooth-mode


  Scan the barcodes below from top to bottom.






Step 2:  Connecting the barcode scanner to the iPad/ iPhone

Take the iOS device and go to the settings app.                                  Click on the  Bluetooth menu and turn bluetooth on.

 

 Select the device name starting with                                                      The scanner gives 2 beeps when connected
 LI4278 (followed by it's serialnr) from the list.                                      The display shows that they are connected.

 

Step 3:  Program an extra ENTER after the scanned barcode

  Scan the barcodes below from top to bottom.

     Begin new rule

  

 
     Send all that remains

 


    Send key: ENTER

     

    Save Rule



Step 4: Program the intercharacter delay

   Scan the barcode below.


 

Step 5: Only for French keyboard settings

   Scan the barcode below.




 

Sidenote: Connecting the scanner to a different device

 

If it's necessary to connect the scanner to a new or different device, go to the bluetooth menu of the device where to the scanner is currently connected and drop that connection.
Next scan the "cradle host" barcode below and use the setup manual of the new device.
