This manual will guide you through connecting the Datalogic Quickscan QBT24XX Bluetooth barcode scanner to a mobile device (HID Bluetooth).


 

TIP

Press the scan button on the barcode scanner twice within 0,5 seconds to show or hide the keyboard on the iOS mobile device.

For Android and Windows: the scanner and keyboard can work simultaneous.

If this is not working, scan the Power Off barcode to show the keyboard.
This will shut off the power to the BT handheld scanner until the next time the trigger is pulled.



 Step 1: Set the scanner to Factory default.


 

Step 2:  Prepare the scanner by scanning the 3 codes below.


     

      



Step 3:  Prepare the device for the Bluetooth connection (example iOS).


Go the Settings app.



Select the device named Quickscan-QBT2400 (followed by its serial number).



A pin-code is issued.
Scan the correct numbers using the barcodes below.
Exit with the "Exit HID variable pin code" barcode.



 



                                          


When the pairing is successful, the Bluetooth menu will show that the device is connected.




 Step 3: Set the inter-character delay.




                          

                           




  

Optional : Codes for disconnecting the Bluetooth HID between the barcode scanner and your mobile device and reconnecting back to the cradle.

You also have to start this procedure if the scanner was previously connected to a mobile device and you want to connect to a different mobile device.
For example: If you want to disconnect from iOS and connect to Android; make sure you are first connected back to the cradle by following the steps below.
When this is completed you can start connecting to your mobile device by following the steps on top of this manual.


                           



Place the scanner back into the cradle and wait for 5 sec.
